Fine art in the square
The festival brings regional artists into the heart of Olathe. Painting, ceramics and other work share the space with performances and food, but the artist booths make the event especially useful for discovering makers close to home. Take a full walk through the square before deciding where to spend more time.
Meet the artists and ask how a work was made or what inspired a series. For a piece you hope to display, bring measurements of the intended space. For gifts, ask about care instructions or whether the artist can ship directly to the recipient. The city’s 2026 artist list can help you plan a few stops without losing the pleasure of unplanned discoveries.
Plan around two different days
Friday is an evening visit, while Saturday gives you most of the day. The city lists free public parking in the garage between West Park and West Loula Streets. Kidtopia offers free children’s activities while supplies last, and local food and live entertainment fill out the program. Bring a chair or blanket if you plan to stay for performances.
Before you go
The event ends Saturday evening; there is no Sunday 2026 show. Use the official page for the current map, parking and program. See more choices in our Weekend Finder.
