Art Show Magazine

Editorial Standards

Art Show Magazine covers art shows for working artists, visitors and collectors, and show organizers. These standards explain how we report, correct and label our work.

Editorial independence and accuracy

Editors choose stories, interviews and reviews for their usefulness to readers. We check event dates, venues, application information and other material facts against organizer or application sources when possible, and link to those sources where practical. Show details can change; readers should confirm current times, fees and requirements with the organizer before traveling or applying. A listing or submission does not guarantee coverage or endorsement.

Corrections

To report a factual error, email info@artshowmagazine.com with the page link, the detail that needs correction and a reliable source. We review the evidence, correct material mistakes, and add a dated correction note when the change materially affects the article’s meaning. Routine event updates may be reflected directly in a listing.

Reviews and show guides

Editorial Show Reviews are written by Art Show Magazine from firsthand attendance or documented editorial reporting. A review identifies its basis and discloses when an owner or editor also exhibited at the show. Artist Show Reviews are firsthand submissions from artists; editors review them before publication, but their views are the contributor’s own. Show Guides preview or explain an event using available sources; they are not firsthand reviews unless clearly described that way. Sponsored Show Spotlights are paid placements and are labeled as sponsored or advertising.

Interviews and submitted material

Interviews reflect real conversations with named participants. We may edit for length and clarity while preserving the speaker’s meaning. Submissions, including artist profiles, photographs and show details, may be checked and edited before publication. We do not publish invented interviews, reviews or artist profiles to fill a section.

Advertising and editorial separation

Paid advertising and sponsorship are identified so readers can distinguish them from editorial work. Buying an ad, a sponsored placement or an accepted-profile publication service does not guarantee favorable coverage, a review, inclusion in a guide, a ranking, or editorial treatment. Jury Room participation does not require an advertising purchase.
